RxAssurance Rebrands as OpiSafe, 1,000th Practice Signs on

Denver – RxAssurance, the award-winning, comprehensive solution provider of platforms designed to manage the opioid response, has changed its name to OpiSafe. The company has also brought on its 1,000th medical practice to use OpiSafe to manage and monitor opioid patients.

“OpiSafe has become well known as the leading technology tool for managing opioid patients. We recently made the name change to further clarify our mission of helping patients, prescribers and dispensers navigate the emergent opioid crisis,” said Rob Valuck, PhD, CEO of OpiSafe.

OpiSafe works with both pain and addiction prescribers to provide best-in-class support for complete drug monitoring and clinical decision support. Currently, hospitals, clinics and small practices in 42 states utilize OpiSafe to check state Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs (or PDMPs), manage urinalysis test results, and administer clinically relevant assessments for patients. OpiSafe’s API interfaces combine artificial intelligence and automation to give clinicians tools that can fit seamlessly into their existing workflow.

“We are pleased to meet this milestone in the growth of OpiSafe,” Valuck said. “Our approach in helping prescribers comply with PDMP requirements, while neutralizing the workflow impact of managing opioid patients has put OpiSafe in a unique position to help prescribers nationwide comply with state laws, adhere to opioid prescribing guidelines and save time with each.”

OpiSafe works with a variety of state and federal agencies to provide easier access to state PDMPs, guideline adherence and more. As more state and federal funded programs are launched, more practices are becoming eligible for subsidized or free access to OpiSafe.
